Kelvin Sellers

General Counsel at Interstate Batteries

Kelvin Sellers is general counsel for Interstate Batteries. In his role, Kelvin maintains oversight of the legal affairs of the company, including the provision of counsel in the areas of employment, mergers & acquisitions, international distribution, litigation, corporate governance and environmental matters. During his time at Interstate Batteries he has also held responsibility for environment, health & safety, supplier diversity and internal audit.

Kelvin is a member of several professional organizations including the J.L. Turner Legal Association, the Dallas Bar Association and the American Bar Association. Kelvin is a board member for the Dallas Chapter of the Texas General Counsel Forum where he serves as vice president and chair of the membership committee. He also serves on the board of the North Texas Ethics Association. He is recognized as a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation and the American Bar Foundation.

Kelvin received his B.B.A in Accounting and his M.S. in Taxation from the University of Texas at Arlington. He practiced as a certified public accountant for several years before matriculating at Columbia Law School. After receiving his Juris Doctor, Kelvin practiced commercial litigation at Bickel & Brewer, a litigation boutique and as a tax attorney at Jones Day, both in Dallas, Texas.

As a member of a military household, Kelvin has lived in a variety of places, but is a self-proclaimed Texan having spent many years in Killeen, TX. Kelvin is married to Cheree; they have one son, Christopher.
